Craft Time – What I’m Currently Working On

So this is going to be a bit of a different post to what i would normally put up but it will hopefully become something that you will see more often. You probably don’t know but i am a huge crafter, especially crotchet and knitting but i am also wanting to get back into sewing too. I’m just trying to find a machine. I’m thinking that i will make this a monthly feature where i show you what I’m currently working on.

At the moment I’m obviously working on mostly baby things although i have a couple of things for myself that i have been working on for months. I get bored working on the same thing for ages so i always have several projects on the go at once. This means i usually take ages to complete something and often forget about things i have been working on. The jumper and cardigan i am working on for myself are two of those things!

9 times out of 10 the things i make are from free patterns. I get these from a number of different places. I will link to any patterns used where possible.

Knitted blanket in King Cole Big Value Super Chunky Shade 30 Pink

Ive been working on this one for a while now although its the one i have put my most effort into lately as i just want to get it finished! It’s a lot bigger than i first thought it would be but i really like how the chunky wool shows off the individual stitches. I will probably add a crotchet border to it once its finished just to neaten up the edges if i have enough wool left over. Pattern Link Here

Knitted baby cardigan in Cascade Cherub DK Shade 07 Baby Lavender

This is knitting up lovely and quick and I’m really enjoying making this one. One of the reasons i enjoy making baby stuff so much is that its just so quick to do.

Knitted adult cardigan in Poundland Wool

One of my forgotten pieces! I found this along with the jumper i will show you shortly while sorting through all my stuff lately. I totally forgot about it and its sat for months! This is a pattern from a magazine so i haven’t been able to find a link for this one.

Knitted adult jumper

A forgotten piece! I was in love with this pattern as soon as i saw it in the magazine it is from. I have a very similar shop bought jumper. I’m really looking forward to getting back to working with this one.

Crotchet baby cardigan in King Cole Comfort Baby DK shade 579 Lilac

This was a bought pattern that i picked up from This is probably my favorite places to get wool from. They also do a fabulous range of free patterns too.

Looking at all these in one place like this has made me realise i really need to finish one or two things before i start anything else! I’m also not sure how i will fit in any sewing around all this lot!! Hopefully next time around i will have some finished items to show you and also some sewing projects on the go.

Thanks for reading
