August 2016 Favourites

I can’t quite believe we are into September! This year just seems to be flying past at an alarming speed. Here are my favorites from August.

Emite Make Up Artist Colour Powder Blush 108

I received this blush a while back in a Glossybox or one of the other subscription boxes and i love it. Emite isn’t a brand i had heard of before but after using this blush i will be definitely looking to try some more of their products. It is super super pigmented and you need to be very careful or you can very easily over do it! I literally just touch my brush on the powder and i still need to bang my brush off before i apply to my cheeks.

Garnier Micellar Water

I have been using this for years now and i love it. Working in a bar means i get in late and i don’t always feel like standing in the bathroom for 10 minutes properly cleansing my face, sometimes i just want a quick fix so i can roll into bed and get to sleep and this is perfect for that. It even removes my eye make up really well, although i don’t usually use waterproof mascara. Would recommend to anyone.

Younique Moodstruck Addiction Shadow Palette Number 2

Now i am not a fan of Younique at all and i did not like any of the other products i have tried but the eyeshadow palette is spot on. The shadows are incredibly creamy and pigmented and blend really nicely. I’m not going to say too much more about them as i have a full review coming up soon.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid

This has been my go to foundation for as long as i can remember. I don’t usually use it in the summer as i find it a bit too heavy but as my pregnancy skin is awful and I’ve needed a much higher coverage i have been using this. I forget how much i like it until i haven’t used it for a while. It gives a really flawless base, is easy to blend and it doesn’t look cakey either.

NYX Liquid Suede In Soft Spoken

I have really been enjoying this product. The shade is such a me colour. These are a liquid lipstick so dry down matte. They are drying as are all liquid lipsticks but i don’t find them too uncomfortable on my lips. They do transfer slightly but they last a long time. Will definitely be picking up some of the other shades.

Chanel Volume Mascara

This is probably my favorite mascara ever. I have been lucky that i have never had to pay full price for it yet as i have always managed to pick it up in duty free but I’m almost out again and i will be repurchasing at full price. I have never found a mascara that does as good a job on my lashes as this. If anyone knows of a dupe i would be incredibly grateful!

Paul Smith Rose

imageI love perfumes and have a big collection of them. My Parents got me this for my birthday in July and i have been using it none stop. I usually like really sweet scents and this is totally different to what i would usually go for but i love it. It is quite floral but it’s not too floral and it is also very fresh. i am rubbish at describing scents but if you haven’t already smelt it go have a try when your next in the shop.

Essential Oil Diffuserimage

I have used essential oils in the past but always used an oil burner. I had read about diffusers and had thought about buying one but had not got round to it. So when i was sent some essential oils from a company (review on them coming soon) it seemed like the perfect excuse to get one. I picked this one up on Amazon for around £13.00. It changes colour and can be set at a certain colour or on a colour change mode. I would highly recommend getting one if you haven’t already.

That’s all for this month. I hope you all had a fab August and i hope September is good for you too 🙂

Thanks For Reading XO
